Sims 3 HelP READ FIRST?

have you checked to see if it was installed correctly because that could be a reason or if it is try saving as you go along not just at the end of building this also used to happen to me with my sims 2 so i had to uninstall the game then re-install it but try the first was first then if that does not work there is always the latter
