Is my ear infected??

It's already been 6 weeks since I've gotten my ears pierced, but my left ear is having problems. My right ear is perfect. Today my left ear started hurting, so I took out my earring and turns out it was bleeding. It was a little fatter than my other ear and a little red as well. I put a different earring in and cleaned it. A few minutes later, I was seeing if it was ok, and when I put a q-tip on the under side and there was a clear liquid. Is my ear infected? It doesn't hurt anymore nor is it red, but it's still a little fat. Is my ear infected because of the clear liquid drainage?
